WHISPERS OF FALL

 

My favourite season, autumn, is starting to be gone. Now all that is left are leafless trees, fading daylight and the creeping excitement of permanent first snow. To me, November is the first Christmas month, and the time when it's allowed to get excited about the highlight of the year. It always brings me joy to see seasonal lights in people's homes, lighting up the otherwise dark outdoors. I could drive around the city just to spot and admire those fairy lights, Christmas stars and other beautiful light instalments in strangers' homes. Romanticising November, and life in general, has definitely become my lifestyle, and I highly recommend you try the same. It's all about the little things in life.

SEPTEMBER DIARY

September started with dinner at Marsi (the butter chicken there is simply amazing!) and Irish coffee as a dessert at Kerubi. 

Nature started slowly to turn golden. I love rowanberries, they are so pretty!

Pin-watched Wednesday's new season. This series is so good, but waiting years for a couple of episodes is just ridiculous. We used to get over twenty episodes per year, so what happened with the filming industry...

Last summery days and barbecuing at my mom's.  

I don't think there is a better way to spend your evening than being shower fresh, having all day's chores done, having your evening tea and getting lost in your book <3

Ice cream break with my parents after running errands. I'm not religious, but I think some churches are so beautiful, especially that one looks like a Disney castle!

Every time I try to add colours to my decor, I get bored with it and switch back to all beige decor xD

Working out at home <3 I've been considering buying a gym membership, but they are so expensive and I hate when the gyms are full of people lol. Can I just have a private gym at my apartment building, please? 

Rainy autumn running errands day / I finished my book, so I had to go buy the whole damn series at once kind of day xD 

I love cooking and baking seasonal food! I got 3 litres of chantarelles at the market for free, so I made risotto with them, and as a dessert, I made banana-pecan bread.  After dinner, it was time to start a new book, of course, with a glass of wine.

I placed a little H&M order and got some nice pieces for autumn. I've been using all of those clothes nonstop since I got them, especially the coat. I'm definitely going to get the most out of the price per wear of that coat, and I'd better since it cost 180€... :D

I'm so obsessed with having a French manicure. It looks so effortlessly chic! 

Knitting that beanie hasn't got any further since last year... Maybe this will be the winter when I finish it?

AUGUST DIARY

Rainy summer day at my mum's.  

Dinner date with a friend. I'm in love with that new butter yellow dress from H&M <3 

Exploring the International Market. Having pistachio and lemon gelato has become a tradition along with take-away churros.

Shopping day in Lager 157. Finally, they had restocked smaller sizes.  

Pampering night with an exfoliating foot mask, a face sheet mask, a bowl of fruits and ice water. I'd like to give a heads up for anyone considering trying an exfoliating foot mask, your feet will peel off like a snake for WEEKS xD

I found this beautiful painting for 10€, but unfortunately, it didn't fit my decor colour-wise.

Barbeque at my Mum's. Vegetable skewers have become my favourite! 

This summer's first and last festival. I've never been a huge fan of festivals, but those that last only for one day are manageable. 

Loving the "clean-girl" style in everything, especially French mani, which I'm obsessed with. 

Burger date with a friend. I also got asked to be a bridesmaid next summer. So excited since I've never been in a wedding before! 

Slowly starting to shop for autumn <3

May I introduce the book series that I'm currently obsessed with, ACOTAR. I'm seriously having trouble stopping reading the series and focusing on real life. I guess my passion for reading is finally back, and all it took was to find an addictive storyline... and hot male faeries, lol xD

JULY DIARY

July started with a DIY project. I've been wanting a marble sofa table for ages, but didn't want to get rid of that stool that came with the sofa. The tabletop is from IKEA and dc-fix from K-Rauta. 

Another home project. I felt like my balcony was missing something without a rug, so I got one that fits the whole area. So much better and cosier to have something under your feet. 

Sushi and wine for dinner <3 

A friend of mine was visiting Finland, so we had a fun day full of activities. At first, in Vesikko, we had a gym session and some swimming and sauna. After that, we went to Konttiravintola Morton for some burgers and mojitos. Also, on that day, I got the BEST birthday gift ever from her. 

Running errands and shopping in H&M. I only bought those shorts that were on sale. There is a sneak peek of the birthday present that I got: A CHLOÉ BAG!! <3

Celebrating another 30th birthday at the summer cottage. Fun fact: I had never tasted Moët champagne before, and it was delicious! Definitely worth the price!

I finally ordered my dream TV stand from Ikea. The doors are from a discontinued collection, and they finally had them back in stock with only three doors. It was seriously a now-or-never situation. 

July was full of 30th birthday celebrations, and this time we were in Filipof restaurant. The food was so so good after having a three-course meal and multiple classes of wine, it was good to continue the night elsewhere. Somehow I found myself at 4am on the Gloria dancefloor, but oh well I had a fun night... xD

One of my birthday gifts was a hairdresser appointment, and I decided to go a bit darker and had face-framing layers.  

My birthday celebration part 1 in Rosso. This time I wasn't too pleased with the food or the drink, even though they looked good.

This machine has been a lifesaver. With this heatwave, my apartment turns into a sauna and doesn't cool down even at night. 

My first strawberries from my ampel in July... I doubt I'll be continuing my tradition of buying a strawberry ampel every summer. It is not worth the money with so few berries.

My birthday celebration part 2! Finally, it was the day when my Pinterest board pins came to life after planning the day for a year.  

Evening swims have been my favourite thing to do this summer <3
