Thailand shopping 2012!

Thaimaasta tuli osteltuun jonkin verran tavaraa! Ei kuitenkaan yhtä paljon kun viime matkalta. Kuitenkin kaikki ostokset oli semmoisia mitä oikeasti tarvitsin ja osasin pitää itseni kurissa heräteostoksista... ainakin melkein. Suosittelenkin ennen matkaa tekemään ostoslistan mitä oikeasti matkalta haluaisi ostaa. Huomasin että itselläni se toimi! Harmi vain, että en tehnyt listaa jo ensimmäiselle matkalle. Olisin siinäkin säästänyt monia euroja! Ostin toki enemmän tavaraa, mutta en vaan kehdannut kuvata niitä kaikkia. Kuvat otin vain tärkeimmistä ostoksista. :)

In Thailand I did some shopping! But not as much as the last trip. However all my shopping were what I really needed and I was able to keep myself away from impulse buys... well almost. I seriously recommend you to do shopping list before vacation. That way you buy things what you really need and you keep yourself away from impulse buys. It actually worked for me! Too bad I didn't do it for my last trip. I would save so much money! Course I bought more things, but I just didn't took pictures of them. I took pics only the most important buys. :)

Orchid Farm & Phuket Zoo & Loi Krathong 2012

Yksi reissun merkittävimmistä elämyksistä oli Orkidea Farmillä käynti! Farmillahan oli vain paljon erinlaisia kukkia, mutta silti oli paikka näkemisen arvoinen kokemus. Lisäksi sieltä sai ehkä maailman parasta jäätelöä mitä oon syönyt ja naiset saivat lahjaksi omat orkideat! Sisäänpääsy maksoi 5€ per henkilö.

One of the most major experiences was Orchid Farm! The Farm is full of different kind of flowers, but still the place is worth seeing. And there was maybe the best ice cream what I've ever tasted and ladies got their own orchid as a present! Entrance cost 5€ per person.

Toinen merkittävä kokemus oli Phuket Zoo! Missä yllätys yllätys oli eläimiä. Paikanpäällä järjestettiin erilaisia  showta mm. apina show, norsu show ja krokotiili show. Itse kävin katsomassa vain norsu- ja apina shown. Kuviakin olisi saanut ottaa eläinten kanssa (apinan, tiikerin ja käärmeen), jos oli tahtonut ja halunnut maksaa siitä. Itsellä oli rahat loppunut niin tyydyin katsomaan sivusta, kun muut ottivat. Sisäänpääsy eläinpuistoon maksoi 500 bath eli noin 12€!

Second major experience was Phuket Zoo! Where surprise surprise was animals. At the Zoo there was different shows monkey show, elephant show and crocodile show. But I only saw elephant and monkey show.You could also take pictures with animals (monkey, tiger and snake), if you would want to, but of course you would have to pay for that. I was totally broke, so I just watched on the side when everybody else took pictures. Entrance cost 500 bath so about it's about 12€!

Kolmas kokemus oli Loi Krathong! Elikkäs Thaimaassa vietetään vuosittain Loi Krathong nimistä tapahtumaa ns. valon juhlaa. Silloin miljoonat ihmiset ympäri Thaimaata lähettävät kelluvia kynttilälauttoja jokiin ja kanaviin. Loi Krathongia vietetään Thaimaalaisen kuukalenterin 12. kuukauden täydenkuun aikana. Tänä vuonna se oli 28.11.2012!

Third experience was Loi Krathong! Which is a festival where peoples make buoyant decorations and put them float to water. Loi Krathong is celebrated on the evening of the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar. This year (2012) it was 28.11.2012!
